Celsim and the GAPPS3 system is different from and, I think, better than traditional executive coaching in several ways. At the personal coaching level, I was amazed at how seemingly irrelevant questions gave clear insight into what and why I was doing things the way I did and the one-to-one coaching sessions expanded on those to made those insights into learning points. At the broader level, the system mapped out the executive development roadmap which helped me, as a manager, understand where and how to develop my staff. At the organisation level, I am able to get a summarized view of staff abilities and performance in their executive development. Ultimately, executive coaching and development is paid for and should result (directly or indirectly) in benefits to the organization. Instead of relying only on feedback from staff, I get a more wholistic perspective. Personally, I connected well with John Kenworthy. Our one-to-one sessions were both illuminating and (at times) humbling. But John did this with humour and insightful questions in such a way that I was lead to discover my own strengths and weaknesses (some of which I had thought were strengths!) not in isolation but in the context of business and career. We thought we were all comfortable in our own little offices, in our own little departments, dealing with our own little problems. CELSIM made us to get out of our offices and to start working outside of our own little worlds. We realised that it is much easier to look outward, rather than remain stuck looking in. Working with a bigger team - company wide - to help further the goals of the entire organisation (and not just one department) is so much easier once you have the tools that CELSIM helped us develop.

- Things I have been hiding can be retrieved out from the questionnaire and coaching. The assessment provide some realization about myself. It made me think the although i am that young i should not compare myself to other people (beyond my age), it should not hinder what i should do in the company i am working into. The assessment also helps me to create development plans for a better me. Development in terms of empowerment, having long-term plans (not only focus on short term plans) and also to know the "politiking". I have been on this process as soon as i realize that i needed this things, and now... I am happy knowing the there are at least improvement..
